After failing to get a job, youth ended his life by consuming poison in Bokaro district on Friday night under city police station.
Deceased Santos Kumar (30) was depressed as he was still unemployed and was not even selected in Railway services, said OC of the local police station.
“Irked over his failure to get a job, Santos committed suicide by consuming poison”, added the OC.
Santos applied for a job in the Railways, but failed to crack the qualifying exam when the results were declared on Wednesday, said Mahatha Yadav, father of the deceased.
Santos fell ill suddenly on last night when we were going to bed, said Yadav. We immediately rushed him to the Bokaro General Hospital where he died during treatment. According to the doctors, Santos consumed some poison, added Yadav.
“Though Santos was an intelligent student but was under depression from a long time as he was still unemployed,” Yadav told the police.
Police has recovered the body and it has been sent for post-mortem.
