Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Monday once again requested former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi to be part of Grand Alliance to remove Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Raghubar Das Government from State.
Addressing a press meet here on Monday, party General Secretary, Supriyo Bhattacharya said that the party is repeatedly imploring Babulal Marandi to be part of the alliance under which all likeminded parties contested just concluded Lok Sabha elections.“We all members of the alliance have sacrificed for the better interest of the State so we are requesting Marandi should also think about interest of the State in an attempt to defeat BJP. We are getting information thorough various media sources that he is unwilling to remain member of the alliance.
But our leader and former Chief Minister, Hemant Soren tried to hold contact with him two times in last five days but due to some reasons it did not materialize. We asked Congress also to be remaining keep in touch with the JVM Supremo,” said Bhattacharya.
Hitting hard on the State Government for its claim of removal of naxalism from the State, the party General Secretary said that the Election Commission of India (ECI) thoroughly refuted the claim of the State Government and the ECI announced the election should be conducted in five phases due to two-third of total constituencies are highly affected with naxalism. “The State Election Commission has required 700 companies of paramilitary forces to conduct peaceful elections in the State. It is completely refuting the claim of the State Government in which it is saying that naxalism is ended from the State,” he added.
Appealing people to be cautious with the parties belonging to outsider and willing to contest elections in the State, Bhattachrya said that they have nothing to do with the State, they will contest the election only with a view to provide political mileage to BJP.
