JMM likely to contest alone in Bihar elections

PNS

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has expressed dissatisfaction with the manner in which the Mahagathbandhan alliance is preparing for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. As a result, the party is now gearing up to field its own candidates independently, without being part of the Mahagathbandhan alliance. Notably, the Bihar Assembly polls are scheduled to take place later this year, during October and November.

Despite the constant neglect of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha by RJD-Congress in the electoral politics of Bihar, JMM leaders believe that when the big and national level leaders of India Bloc sit on the issue of seat sharing, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will definitely be taken care of. Along with this, we will also be invited.

JMM central spokesperson Manoj Pandey said that along with JMM, its leaders Hemant Soren and Kalpana Soren cannot be ignored. JMM central general secretary Vinod Pandey said that questions are being raised on not being called in the meeting, but our eyes are on Bihar politics. He said that we have a strong organization in Bihar and in the light of tomorrow's meeting; JMM will take a decision for the future.

On one hand, JMM leaders are angry and saddened by not getting respect in Bihar's India Bloc; on the other hand, Jharkhand RJD is raising questions in gestures that is Jharkhand Mukti Morcha also a part of India Block in Bihar? RJD's state general secretary Kailash Yadav said that the parties included in India Block in Bihar are called for the meeting.

On the other hand, RJD's state secretary Ramkumar Yadav said that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leaders should not make any comparison with RJD's support base in Jharkhand in the context of Bihar. Ramkumar Yadav said that the day RJD will separate from the alliance and contest elections in Jharkhand, that day "JMM's three diyas of oil will burn".

JMM's central spokesperson Manoj Pandey said that our party's Bihar unit has requested by sending a list to contest elections on 16 seats. Out of which JMM will definitely contest elections on at least 12 assembly seats, yet if talks happen in alliance, then we are ready to contest elections on 5-8 seats to defeat BJP, but Hemant Soren and Kalpana Soren cannot be ignored in Bihar elections.

BJP has taken a jibe at Jharkhand Mukti Morcha for not being invited to the Mahagathbandhan meeting regarding Bihar assembly elections. BJP's co-incharge in Bihar Deepak Prakash has said that JMM hisses, it does not bite. He said that even in the last assembly and Lok Sabha elections, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha had claimed that the party would contest elections from Bihar, but the Mahagathbandhan parties did not give them any support and did not give them a single seat and now it has reached the limit that JMM does not even get an invitation to the meetings held in Bihar. Now Jharkhand Mukti Morcha should think about how their condition is getting worse in Bihar and is being made worse. Now they have to decide whether to contest elections or not, if they have guts, then contest elections and show it.
