JMM charges Modi, Centre of Covid mismanagement

The JMM, the ruling party of Jharkhand on Friday blamed the central leadership for playing with the life of people saying Prime Minister Narendra Modi has doomed the nation as the central government failed to control Covid 19.

The JMM appealed to the Supreme Court to take control of health service since the nation is facing a medical emergency and if health service remains under control the central government situation will deteriorate.

Addressing a press conference JMM, central general secretary Suprio Bhattacharya said that Modi was busy playing games.

The JMM blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making false statements to mislead people from the actual condition of the country. Bhattacharya said that Modi claimed that at a time when developed nations having the latest health infrastructure failed to control Covid 19 but India remained safe under his leadership.

“Modi had said that India has defeated Covid 19. I remember, on March 7, union health minister Dr Harshvardhan had held a press conference to announce Covid 19 is going out of the country. Now people want to know what went wrong if the nation is reporting around four lakh Covid 19 case other than a large number of cases that go unreported,” he said.

He claimed that the death of around 5000 people due to Covid 19 has been accepted whereas the truth is that at the cremation grounds across the nation over 50000 bodies were cremated.

“Death was made into a game. In the very beginning the central government brought Covid 19 related medicines and oxygen under its control. During pandemic 93000 metric ton oxygen, seven crore injections and over 70 crore anti-viral drugs were exported. And on April 10 the central government dragged its feet and left it to state governments to manage the situation,” he said.

Blaming the BJP, central government and Modi for playing politics he said that the central government was more concerned to conduct assembly elections in five states besides Bihar.

“Number of absurd decisions were made. The central government announced that from May 1, people aged between 18 and 45 will be vaccinated. State governments are being asked to pay. There is no availability of vaccines,” he said.
