Ruling alliance partners in the State, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress on Wednesday hit hard on BJP Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash, who met Governor Droupadi Murmu regarding an alleged conspiracy in the auction of Thakurani mines. The MP has also handed over documents related to this.

Speaking on the issue, JMM General Secretary, Supriyo Bhattacharya said that BJP is misleading on Thakurani mines. He asked where the loot of Rs 300 crores took place.

“If BJP gives proof of that to the Government, then the Government will definitely take its point into consideration and the matter will be investigated. Whatever officers are behind this, the Government will also punish them. But don't create confusion by saying unreasonable things,” said Bhattacharya. He said that it is not understood how Prakash forgets that during the reign of Raghubar Das, his Cabinet Minister, Saryu Roy raised the issue of Shah Brothers and exposed it.

The party General Secretary said that the whole reality had come to the fore. Now that illegal mining has been banned in all the places, it is natural to be in a tizzy. “BJP brought and established Adani here and gave permission to supply electricity to private company. BJP destroyed PTPS in the name of NTPC. The MP should also remember the old things,” he added.

Meanwhile, alliance partner in the Government in the State, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) Spokesperson, Alok Kumar Dubey said that BJP should not make Raj Bhavan the arena of politics and in the previous Government, illegal mining was going on indiscriminately and now in all such cases the State Government is investigating one by one, BJP to divert the attention of the people trying to influence the investigation.

JPCC Spokesperson, Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo said that the people of the State have also seen what kind of bridges and culverts were built under the rule of those who are accusing the present government. A dozen bridges built at a cost of crores of rupees were damaged in different places. Now, they say that the bridge has collapsed due to sand mining, he added.

JPCC Spokesperson, Rajesh Gupta said that in the previous Raghubar Das Government, how government funds were wasted in the construction work is well known.
