Jharkhand Vikas Morcha held a day-long protest in front of the Nagar Untari Block on Monday. While addressing the protestors, JVM's State Vice President and Ex-Minister Ramchandra Keshri said that an undeclared emergency has been imposed by the Government in the State as it is trying to suppress the voices of the opposition.

"Because the Opposition raises voices against the oppressive policies of the Government, they are being framed in fake cases. The Government wants to fill treasury after removing 11 lakh BPl ration cards and 2 .7 lakh old pensioners," he said.

"Regardless of the suppressive policies adopted by the Government, we will strongly oppose it. JVM chief Babulal Marandi had made sand free of cost during his chief-ministership. Thereby, there was considerable opportunity for poor and common people to make their homes. But this Government wants to fill their coffers from sand. As a result, poor people are having difficulty creating their own accommodation and toilets," he added.

He also said that the people are keeping account of the atrocities being committed on them. The answer will be given by them in the coming lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

Conducted by Nayeem Khalifa, the protest was addressed by District President Suraj Gupta, Vijay Kumar Kesari, Sitaram Jaiswal, Krishna Vishwakarma, Nand Kishore Gupta, Anil Gupta, lal Mohan Chandravanshi, Vinod Thakur, Basant Paswan, Ashwini Kumar, and Naresh Paswan.
