Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday felicitated toppers of Matric and Inter students during a programme organised at Agrasen Bhavan in Dumka. Addressing the gathering present during the programme, Soren said Jharkhand has no dearth of talent which has proved its mettle on all fronts including education and sports.
“This is for the first time that the toppers of 10th and 12th are being felicitated in the last 14 years who have also been given reward money to encourage more and more students seeking the top position,” Soren said.Similarly, three sports persons were also given direct jobs for their outstanding performance in their fields and Matric pass youths of primitive tribes are also given direct jobs by the state government, added Soren.
The CM was in Dumka on Sunday of his six-day Divisional tours planned to sense the nerves of people through media interactions in the five Divisions of Jharkhand.
