Rajeev Kumar Gupta, a Jharkhand Finance Service Officer, posted as Treasury Officer, Secretariat Treasury, Doranda, Ranchi completed the last day of his duty on Thursday after taking Voluntary Retirement under VRS scheme of the State Government. Gupta, an MBA graduate from IIM, Ranchi, said that he quit the Government job to serve the society in a better and unique ways through his expertise gathered in the Government service for over two decades.
Gupta joined the Bihar Finance Service on June 21,1993 and worked as Commercial Taxes Officer at different places of Bihar and Jharkhand. Known as an upright officer among his colleagues and seniors, Gupta received pats of commendation not only from his department but also from cross section of society in his career. In course of upgrading his academic career Gupta first completed his llB course from Ranchi University in 2008-11 and later in 2011-13 he was a gold medalist in Post-Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (PGEXP) programme from IIM Ranchi. He was awarded Gold Medal as the Best Outgoing Student award in 2013 from IIM Ranchi.
