Jewellery worth around Rs16 lakhs have been stolen by unknown assailants from two jewellery shops at Chas in Bokaro district on Thursday night, police said.
Thieves escaped with precious ornaments including gold and silver from Puja Jeweller’s shop and Prasad Jeweller’s near Telidih More at Chas. An FIR has been lodged at the local police station and police have started investigation in the case. “Sniffer dogs were brought in to get a tip for investigation, but failed to get any trace in this case,” a police officer investigating the case said.
