Precious gold and silver ornaments including crown and cash worth of rupees six lakh stolen from Sai Temple under Sector 6 police station in Bokaro Steel City last night. According to the police, thieves entered the temple office and escaped with booty consisting silver and gold crown, ornaments including cash of donation.
“The thieves escaped with one gold and two silver crowns, ornaments and Rs 57 thousand cash kept in the locker in the office of the temple, informed Rakesh Kumar Srivastava the manager of the temple.
The temple was locked from outside when the priest noticed the theft early morning on Friday. No one has been arrested so far. A case has been lodged at the local police station and we are investigating into the matter, said OC of the police station.
