Amidst row over the prime ministerial candidate’s post, Janta Dal United (JDU) leaders made a strong throw for Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. “Nitish Kumar is the best among all; he deserves to be the prime ministerial candidate,” said SriBhwagan Singh, ex-minister JD(U).
He proved himself with ‘good governance’ and ‘development’ in Bihar, said Singh, adding “Nitish has a vision for holistic development. Without Nitish Kumar’s support, no party would be able to form a government at the Centre”. JD(U) is preparing to record successes on 6 lok Sabha seats (at least) in the forthcoming lS polls in Jharkhand, claimed Singh.
Hinted not to contest alone in the lS poll Singh said JD(U) may contest ‘in alliance’ with any political party except BJP and Congress. “We are open for seat sharing, our talks are ‘on’. Alliance with JVM (P), we will follow the 7+7 seat sharing formula”, added Singh. Denying from any dispute inside the party Singh praised for Raja Peater and his devotion towards the party.
Hitting back on the Narandera Modi’s recent rally in Jharkhand Singh branded it as a ‘flap show’. It does not have any significant impact on mass and not going to raise any issues, he said. Soon JD (U) will show its strength and impact in Jharkhand. “We are on the move to oraganise a missives rally from the same dash (on Modi delivered)”, Singh said.
