Jharkhand Pradesh Professional Congress president Aditya Vikram Jaiswal visited the locality of Vikas Nagar to take stock of the water logging problem in the neighbourhood on July 3. The local people told Jaiswal that there is a lot of difficulty in movement due to the stagnant dirty water which has also become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and if a proper outlet is not made, it could lead to an epidemic as well.

Hearing the problems, Jaiswal said, “Former City Development Minister and current MLA CP Singh has always kept Vikas Nagar away from development. If he heard the problems faced by the public and paid attention then a situation of water logging would not arise in any street of Ranchi. Drainage work worth Rs 360 crore has been done in the City but it is incomplete. Rs 140 crore was spent in the construction of drains under Momentum Jharkhand and that too is not complete.”

“A high level investigation should be done for all the development work done in the past so that scams can be exposed. BJP government has done a lot of corruption in the State capital in the name of development and gradually everything is being exposed,” said Jaiswal.

Former councilor Geeta Kujur, State General Secretary Rajesh Chandra Raju, OBC Mahanagar President Sumit Sahu, Krishna Sahay, Parvati Singh and others were present on the occasion.
