The State Government has authorized Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) for conducting board exams for standard VIII in 2019. As per the directives issued by the Principal Secretary School Education and Literacy Department, the board exams will be conducted through OMR sheet.
The exam will be held in all government and non- government school under Jharkhand state. Students of all the schools which have applied for affiliation to JAC under the Right To Education (RTE), 2009 and RTE Regulations 2011 for the academic session 2018-19 will be allowed to appear for the exams. On the basis of the information provided, students will be issued their admit cards and the same will also be printed in the OMR sheet including name, roll number, school name, school U-DISE code etc. The council has also decided that all the schools in the districts will be provided with model question papers and OMR sheets before the examination.The concerned Block Level Education Officers and District Level Education Officers have been directed by the department for the publicity of the same. The board exams for class VIII will most probably begin in the first week of February 2019, according to a JAC press release issued today.
