State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo has said that CM Raghubar Das had visited Gumla on November 9 and had announced that he will make the Jharkhand as Late Kartik Oraon had dreamt of.
He said that the BJP will fight for ensuring space for Oraon in the history of Jharkhand and his contributions to the State.
Shahdeo said that Congress has hidden the contributions of Oraon just like they did in the case of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar.
He said that few days back on the birth anniversary of Oraon, Congress members just performed rituals as they clicked snaps in a closed room with the picture of Oraon.
On the contrary, CM Raghubar Das went to Gumla and inaugurated Kartik Oroan Jatra Mela and made a public announcement that the government will realize his dreams.
Late Kartik Oraon had proposed in 1968 to bring a Bill in Lok Sabha and remove converted tribals from the scheduled list.
Shahdeo wanted to know if Congress considers Kartik Oraon as a role model then why it is shying away from realizing his dreams.
He said that the BJP has been always demanding that the tribal residents, who have conserved their culture and tradition, should only be given reservation benefits.
Those who have changed their religion should be devoid of such benefits.
Shahdeo said that Congress should clear its stand on the issue and also make it clear whether the dreams and ideals of Kartik Oraon are important for them or they want to remain a puppet in the hands of Christian religious leaders because of vote bank politics?
