It's feel good for everyone, strong room sealed

RR Srivastava

The important part of festival of democracy which comes once in five years concluded on Thursday in Hazaribagh parliamentary constituency.

After end of voting time at 4 p.m. all eyes turned towards the premises of agriculture marketing yard of Hazaribagh where strong room has been made. From 5.30 p.m. onwards arrival of polling teams started. Those who came early succeeded in depositing the EVMs and necessary papers before dinner time but as the time passed, queue of polling teams on different tables started becoming longer and longer and the process of depositing EVM and papers went throughout the night.

Though the administration had arranged chairs, drinking water etc. for the members of the polling teams but it was not sufficient. Since the members of the polling teams had already passed two difficult nights and one full day of tiresome work so during this hard third night their anger burst many time.

On Friday at 12 noon DC, SP and other important officers of district administration reached Marketing Yard premises where in different godowns EVMs were kept assembly and booth wise. BJP’s Jayant Sinha and Congress candidate Saurav Narayan Singh were present at that time while representatives of other candidates were there.

In presence of candidates and representatives finally the strong room was sealed. Now the EVMs will remain inside this strong room till 15th May, on 16th May the final phase of festival of democracy in entire India is scheduled to be held, so on that day these EVMs will come out from the strong room and then it will become clear that what the public mandate is for next five years.

In the meantime everyone is in feel good here. Today in the Marketing Yard premises Jayant and Saurav not only met with each other with warmth but also hugged each other.Their supporters were claiming that his candidate is going to represent Hazaribagh while the representative of AJSU, CPI, JVM and others also looked confident of their success.District and police administration is also feeling good because the important part of polling passed peacefully even in naxal areas. No major incident took place except an accident at Mandu. Though reports of bogus voting came from hither and thither but DC Sunil Kumar said that all reports proved wrong after enquiry.
