For the upcoming lok Sabha elections, district administration acting on the direction of Election commission has set up 28 investigation teams to keep an eye on person travelling with cash Rs 50,000 and above.
On Wednesday Magistrate investigating team no 25 consisting of Nukul Thakur Bistupur PS SI Arjun Paswan nabbed Pradeep Chaudhary who was carrying Rs one lakh at Sonari. The investigating team was not satisfied with his words and later took Pradeep to ADC Ganesh Kumar with the cash. As ADC inquired about the matter, Pradeep told that he is working with New Karbanik Gas Agency in Sonari and was going to the agency after withdrawing cash from ICICI Bank in Bistupur that the team caught him. Pradeep is not associated with any political party.
After two hours of inquiry Pradeep was let off. He was nabbed in view of Model Code of Conduct in place due to ensuing lok Sabha elections.
