A prisoner ended his life by hanging himself inside Dhanbad Jail.
Ratan Gupta who lodged in the jail on Wednesday noon killed himself at 11.30 PM by hanging himself with towel in the bathroom of the Jail, official informed. Gupta was arrested under dowry act for allegedly killing his wife Puja. Duo was married in December last year. Puja committed suicide by hanging herself on May 13.
The kin of Puja lodged a complaint against Ratan for harassment for dowry and killing at Kenduadih PS. Demanding probe in the suicide case of Gupta locals blocked Dhanbad -Bokaro National Highway for over three hours.
