Vice president of the Indian Red Cross Society Rana Arun Singh said more and more donors are stepping out of their homes to donate blood now. Girls and women too are coming forward.

Blood donors were treated with apple juice and sweets at the camp of Dr Gupta. Sources said there have been very few instances when blood donation has been done at any residence but here at Gupta’s clinic the arrangement for blood donation was smart and meticulous.

A team member Girdhari Garg said he has so far donated 29 times blood. Amitabh Sharma said it was his 5th donation of blood on Sunday. Sharma is AB positive and finds himself lucky for his blood group. Gupta and Garg are the two proud fathers who made their sons donate blood when they became 18 years of age!
