Independence Day celebrations was organised in Bokaro Steel Plant at Ispat Bhawan Complex seeking compliances of Covid-19. Director-in-charge Amarendu Prakash hoisted the national flag and took the salute of the parade at the ceremony. In his address, DIC Prakash while mentioning the achievements of BSL, appreciated the efforts made by the steel workers in turning challenges into opportunities with dedication and determination, even in the times affected by Covid to give BSL a leading position in the SAIL group and gave the message to always be ready for the progress of SAIL. During the function the names of 60 members of BSL, including CISF, who were awarded Commendation Awards and 14 of Category-I and 149 of Category-II BSL personnel who were awarded Birsa Munda Excellence Award were announced at the function.
On this occasion, DIG of Bokaro unit of Central Industrial Security Force, S Rai was also present with DIC on the salute stage. The Executive Directors of BSL, Chief General Managers, other officers of BSL and members of CISF were present in the audience wing. Also DIC Prakash at Bokaro General Hospital inaugurated LED Phototherapy Unit and 6 Radiant Infant Warmers for the treatment of jaundice in newborns.
