BSL Group Accident Insurance renewal
A tender process was adopted to continue the insurance coverage for the year 2020-21 (16.05.2020 to 15.05.2021) of Bokaro Steel Group Accident Insurance Committee. The insurance policy has been given to Reliance General Insurance Company Limited due to the lowest rate of Reliance General Insurance Company Limited in the tender process. The insurance premium for each employee is 25,00,000 the insurance premium will be Rs 2993. It may be noted that the insurance premium was Rs 246.75 per sum insured last year for Rs1,00,000, which will be reduced to Rs 119.72 per Rs 100,000 per year.If an employee has a disability or death due to accident, the information is to be submitted to the Secretary of the Committee within 25 days of the accident in writing in the prescribed form forwarded by the departmental officer.

There is a unique initiative by the district administration, Bokaro at the time of this lock down due to COVID 19 epidemic. Through live programme, an attempt was made to create an entertainment atmosphere among the common people. Under this programme scholars getting called subject wise every day and their experiences will be spread through Facebook Live to spread positive message among the public. Through this knowledge science, Panchatantra story, Nana - Nani , Dada - Dadi story, Motivational, song music, poetry etc will be broadcast live. In this series today teacher of DPS Mahashweta tried to make everyone's mind entertained with her poetry and ghazals. DPRO Bokaro Rahul presented a sanitizer made by the district administration as a welcome kit and extended thanks with best wishes to the teacher for showing her gesture during this crisis.
Free meals for rural masses
Research Scholar & Activist, Avanendra Prataap, has been distributing meals and cleanliness items in semi rural areas for those who are facing unfortunate events during the lock down.
Recently he conducted a Food campaign programme in Misir Gonda, alias Pahara Gonda village, block tehsil Kanke, Ranchi. In addition, he also urged the government bodies to give proper awareness, Sanitizers, mask/glove items & other facilities to the underprivileged people in view of corona pandemic.
