Maiden meeting of newly carved out Jharkhand Energy Development Corporation limited will take place on Tuesday. Chairman cum Managing Director of the JEDCl SN Verma besides both MDs KK Verma and Subhash Singh of distribution and transmission companies, two Directors and both Finance and Energy Secretaries as outside Directors would participate. JEDCl is the holding company after unbundling of the Jharkhand State Electricity Board (JSEB) couple of months ago.
The meeting would see host of important issues coming for discussion. This include issue of giving extension to about 3000 contractual electricity workers and providing benefit of 10 per cent dearness allowance to its employees. After being unbundled the company and its three subsidiaries have not seen any board meeting hampering the decision making.
Following the meeting, the other three companies
separated to look into power generation, production and distribution in the State would meet on June 18.
