Don’t indulge in Bandh drama’
State BJP today took a dig on Congress’s Bharat Bandh call on September 10 calling it a drama of the grand old party that had actually decontrolled the pricing of petroleum products in June 2010. One of the State BJP Spokespersons Pratul Shahdeo said that Congress had brought the change by connecting petroleum prices in India with international markets. He said that the rising prices of petroleum products are mostly because of devaluation of rupee in the international market. However, gving example of Ruble and Europian currency, he added that in last 4 years of Modi government rupee devaluation was less. He blamed the Congress party for petroleum price hike and said that the Congress leaders were mocking at the people by doing drama.
CCL celebrates ‘Rajbhasha Mah’
Central Coalfields Limited organized a “noting and draft contest” for its employee at VicharManch, Darbhanga House to mark the ongoing ‘Rajbhasha Mah’, on Friday. Altogether 63 executives and non-executives including General Manager (Welfare) Rashmi Dayal participated in the noting and draft competition contest. In addition to CCL headquarters, Rajbhasha Maha is also being celebrated at area-level and other establishment of CCL. Every year CCL observes September(1-30 )as Rajbhasha month. Different types of competitions like essay writing, computer typing are being organized to promote Hindi and Devanagari script, which is the official language of the Union, among the employees.
113rd Foundation Day of BOI
Bank of India on Friday celebrated its 113rd foundation day by felicitating silver medalist of Asian Games Madhumita Kumari and hockey player Nikki Pradhan. General Manager of the SLBC organising bank of the State Chandrashekhar Sahay, DGM Vincent Lakra and other officials of the Regional Office were present on that occasion. Several branches of bank organised cleanliness drives, blood donation camps and distributed gifts to orphans.
Growth in SER’s freight earnings
During April-August 2018, South Eastern Railway has earned Rs. 5064.07 crores from originating freight traffic which is Rs. 328.30 crores more than the corresponding period of last year i.e. 2017-18, thus registering a growth of 6.93 per cent. This growth in freight earnings has been possible due to increase in freight loading during the above period. South Eastern Railway’s total freight loading during April-August of the current financial year has been 62.41 million tonnes as against 61.13 million tonnes loaded during the corresponding period of last year recording a growth of 2.09 per cent.
Cleanliness drive at DPS Chas
In a bid to make a ‘clean India’ (Swachh Bharat), the students, teachers along with the administrative staffs of Delhi Public School, Chas conducted the cleanliness drive in and around the school premises under the Swachchata Abhiyan Pakhwada on Friday. Garhwa DC takes charge
Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner Harsh Mangala joined office on Friday . He was shifted from IG Prisons’ post. While listing his priorities, Mangla said completing the government policies will be his first priority. Efforts will be made to sort out food grains issues and pension problems at quick pace. He said that he will try his best to declare Garhwa district as an ODF district by October 2, 2018. The DC also held a brief meeting with the officials.
