Police unearthed an illegal mini-gun factory at village Ranitali hillock under Manjhiaon police station on Wednesday. Police arrested four persons and also seized a country made rifle, four country made pistol, 11 live cartridges, 100 empty cartridges and a large number of arms making tools.
According to Garhwa SP, Mohammed Arshi, acting on a tip off, a police team led by ASP Sadan Kumar raided the village Ranitali at Kala Pahad hillock and arrested four persons. Arrested person have been identified as Sunil Kumar Soni, Baleshwer Singh, Shambhu Singh and Basant Vishwakarma all belonging to Garhwa district.
The SP informed that Sunil Soni is the mastermind behind the operation of the mini gun factory while Basant Vishwakarma is a notorious criminal. Basant has gone to jail several times for carrying illegal arms factory. After making, they used to supply the arms to the criminals of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand.
