Illegal firecracker warehouse raided at Chas

SURESH NIKHAR

The raiding team, which reached Chas Main Bazar of Bokaro district late last night under the leadership of the Sub-Divisional Officer, has got a big success. The raiding team did not even realize that in such a busy market where there is also a residential area and the  recovery of such a quantity of firecrackers from there itself is telling many stories.

When the warehouse of an establishment named "Maa Prabhavati Store" was raided, the officials were also surprised to see the stock of firecrackers.  The recovery of such a quantity of firecrackers from the market where it is forbidden to open a small firecracker shop is enough to tell how fearless the firecracker traders must have been or how much confidence they must have had in their contacts.

The recovery of gunpowder is enough to state that this is not possible without connivance. The biggest thing about this surprise raid was that this team was led by the sub-divisional officer of Chas himself.

In his department, it is the responsibility of giving licenses to crackers sellers.  He himself was not only surprised by this recovery, he said that under any circumstances, he would not allow the sale of firecrackers in this market.

Talking to the media, he said that in this busy market, no one already has a license to sell firecrackers and no new license has been issued yet.  At the same time, on the matter of telling the quantity of firecrackers recovered, he said that all the recovered firecrackers will be able to tell the quantity only after matching.

In fact, the traders selling crackers get the license to sell crackers only in the name of the place fixed by the government, but by throwing dust in the eyes of the administration, they secretly collect the stock of firecrackers in the busy market.  He passes through a narrow street from where the firecrackers have been recovered.

In such a situation, in case of an accident, the fire brigade would also have to face a lot of difficulty in reaching there.  The value of the recovered firecrackers is said to be around 15 lakhs.
