During last some months you must have noticed that illegal mining activities and Naxal activities in Hazaribagh range has gone down. Decline in these activities are due to the collective efforts of every member of our police family and I am hopeful that in the days to come situation will become better and better,” said IG Tadasha Mishra, who was here in Hazaribagh on Tuesday.
In Hazaribagh Circuit House the IG alongwith DIG of North Chotanagpur range Upendra Kumar, SP Akhilesh Jha and some other senior police officials reviewed the overall position of law and order in the range. According to sources, she talked about the recent incidents of Churchu block. “Both DIG Upendra Kumar and SP Akhilesh Jha are very senior, effective and good officers, Hazaribagh will certainly get benefitted by their experiences,” said Mishra Mishra while talking to the mediapersons about the incidents which took place in Churchu within last one week said that the blowing up of bridge was not a Naxal activity as per our primary investigation.
Mishra said that it was a result of rivalry between the contractors and soon everything will become clear. However, she accepted the incident of torching hyvas of Bhardwaj Construction Company as a Naxal activity. “DSP Satish Chandra Jha is looking into the incidents and very soon some good result will come,” she added.
Talking about the decline in illegal mining and other such activities, IG said that only police cannot stop everything illegal going on in the area. It is only possible by collective efforts. When every department like forest, mining, police, administration etc. will work together then only these types of activities can be completely checked. Hazaribagh police has done a good job to curb these types of illegal activities and it can be hoped that in coming months every responsible department will work collectively to control the evil, she added.
