On December 31, 2013, the last day of this year, Hazaribagh will be included in the category of e-districts. In Jharkhand, Hazaribagh has been selected as a nodal district and after being a member of e-districts club the denizens will start getting many services and information online.
Establishment of Pragya Kendras and providing services and information to the denizens through these centres is in the centre of the idea of e-district. There are 257 panchayats in Hazaribagh district out of which in 150 panchayats Pragya Kendras are already working and by the end of this year some more panchayats will get their own centres.
Through these Pragya Kendras the citizens will get various services. From these centres caste, domicile, residential, income, death, birth etc certificates will be issued to the citizens. The residents of more than 150 panchayat of Hazaribagh district are enjoying the benefits of these kendras and after the opening of these kendras the work load of block and other offices has also come down.
In future the people of Hazaribagh will get the facility of face to face viewing and talking with their family members and friends who are in jails. Through Pragya Kendras the citizens will get the opportunity of 'e-mulakat'. Till November this facility has been started at five Pragya kendras of the district.
The Pragya Kendras of Sadar block, Barkagaon, Chauparan, Vishnugarh and collectorate campus have been identified as ideal centres and the district administration starts providing new services from these centres. After successful execution the facilities are provided in other centres too.
In Pragya Kendras the district administration has started the facility of getting registered for unique identification number. Till the end of November at Sadar, Vishnugarh, Ichak, Barkattha, Katkamsandi, Katkamdag, Barkagaon, Churchu, Daru and collectorate campus Pragya centers this facility was available and according to officials very soon this facility will be available at Pragya Kendras of all block headquarters.
DC Sunil Kumar is serious on this matter and he had directed the project manager of UTl to complete the rest works within 31st so that Hazaribagh can become a member of e-districts club of the country. DC is himself looking into the day to day progress of the project and when only two week time is remaining it can be said that on 31st Hazaribagh is going to achieve another milestone.
