In a joint operation of the officials of health department and police department, 60 cartons of cough syrup named corex has been seized from Rani Nursing home situated in Pelawal mohallah of Hazaribagh town. This cough syrup is used by the drug addicts so as per Government instruction, it can be sold only on the prescription of a doctor.
Drug inspector of Ramgarh and Hazaribagh along with police team made a raid at Rani Nursing home last late evening where these cartons were kept. There was no proof of selling of these drug as per Government’s direction. The owner was selling it at four times more than its printed price. An FIR has been lodged against the owner of the Nursing home.
