Hazaribagh Municipal Corporation has completed the cleaning work of all six important ponds of Hazaribagh town where large number of devotees gather during Chatthh puja. The Municipal Corporation has started a special drive to clean the ponds taking in view the forth coming Chatthh puja, informed Mayor Anjali Kumari.
Anjali Kumari informed that on October 9 the cleanliness work started with cleaning of Khajanchi cum Gayatri tank, on October 10 the Meetha talab was cleaned, on 11th and 12th October Burhwa Mahadev tank was cleaned, on 13th Chatthh talab and on 14th and 15th October local lake and its surrounding area was cleaned. Mayor Kumari said that besides the officials and staffs of Municipal Corporation many organizations like Rudra Sena, lions club, chemist and druggist association etc. also helped in this cleaning work.
The cleaning work was completed under the supervision of executive officer of Municipal Corporation Ashok Kumar and Deputy Mayor Annand Dev. SDO Aditya Ranjan was personally monitored the work throughout the week.
