The denizens of Hazaribagh worshipped the goddess of wisdom Maa Saraswati with devotion. In schools and colleges idols of Maa Saraswati was installed and decorated by the students.
On Monday, students worked whole night to finish the decoration. In the streets too youths have installed idols and have decorated their pandals attractively. On Tuesday morning, students were seen going towards their school and colleges. Especially kids were seen rushing towards their schools to take a close look and blessings of Saraswati. Girl wearing saree in large numbers were also roaming in the town. In schools and colleges rituals were performed before 12 in the noon while in street pandals it was going on till evening.
After puja distribution of Prasad was the main attraction for the kids. late evening when lights were turned on denizens came out of their homes with family members to see the decoration. On Wednesday the idols will be immersed. Administration has appointed magistrates and forces to escort immersion processions. little effect was seen on clubs regarding the instructions given by district administration about the use of loud speakers and choice of songs.
