On the direction of SP Manoj Kaushik Hazaribagh police busted a racket of illegal coal traffickers on Tuesday. The police have seized five trucks loaded with about 100 tons illegal coal, two laptops, two printers, mobile phones, a bolero, a bike on which ‘Press’ was written and arrested 11 people.
Barhi, Ichak and Barkattha police acted on the direction of SP Manoj Kaushik and got this grand success. After getting this information IG North Chotanagpur range Murari Singh Meena reached to Barhi PS and along with SP Manoj Kaushik shared the information with the mediapersons.
He said that it was a racket of illegal coal traffickers which was in this business since long times. They were running offices at Sakrej of Barkattha and Dhobiadih of Barhi. Illegal coal was mined from the Uparghat area of Bokaro and Narki and Nawadih area of Vishnugarh.
This illegally mined coal was transported to the markets of Dehri of Bihar and Mugalsarai of UP with the help of fake colliery and sales tax papers. IG cleared that this time we are not going to leave anyone engaged in this illegal business and if we will get proof against any police officer he will also be punished.
The police have arrested Anil Pandey and Sonu Choubey of UP, Ravishankar Pandey of Rohtas, Raju Singh and Mahavir Kumar of Bagoda, Sanjay Sao of Vishnugarh, Md. Serajuddin and lokan Mahto of Bokaro, Shamsher Alam and Kali Khan of Hazaribagh and Md. Riyaj of Barachatti. Police has also recovered `238400 cash during this operation.
