The Giridih police here have arrested one hardcore Maoist of TPC, a wing of Naxal at Saria area under the same police station on Friday. Police have also recovered a motorcycle and few mobile sets from him. The arrested youth has been identified as Ramesh Mahto (40), having resident of Katkamdang village of the Hazaribagh district.
SDPO of Saria Deepak Kumar Sharma said that the arrested have admitted his involvement in dozen cases related with naxal activities in around Giridih and Hazaribagh.
Giving details of arrested TPC rebel’s modus operandi, Sharma said the former used to call several road construction companies for levy .On Friday he came to Saria for collecting levy from a road construction company RKS road Co. of Rs 30 lakhs.
Sharma added that the Saria police Inspector K.D. Poddar, Saria police station in charge KN Singh swung into action immediately started monitoring his mobile from which he has called company officials. After reaching the spot , police arrested here on Friday morning from spot within the jurisdiction of the same police station .The SDPO also said that during interrogation, the arrested youth disclosed their modus operandi and revealed the names of some people they had duped in the recent past.
