The Cabinet has approved guidelines for Aadhar enabled biometric attendance system in place for all the employees. The system would be linked directly with the salary preparation exercise.
Information about the guideline, Cabinet Secretary SK Satpathy said that it has clear rules for coming late, or not making attendance and also for those who have field works. Several points-of-presence have also been defined where one can register attendance while going out for official work.
Approval to special battalion for primitive tribes with 1107 posts has also been given. 7th passed candidates from primitive tribes only can fill the constables’ post with relaxed physical norms.
Also, direct recruitment for sportspersons guideline, 2014 has been amended under which the appointments can now be made only the departments with uniforms such as Home, Forest and Environment, Excise and trainers and coaches in HRD and Sports Departments.
