Summer vacations once meant extended trips to grandparents, meeting cousins and indulging in all forms of sporting activity.
But the pressure of academic curriculum has now replaced the earlier joys with extra classes and tuitions, while leisure time is devoted to television.
To help children understand the importance of sports in laying the foundations of a healthy life during their summer vacations, Greenfield School organised a summer camp which continued for six days at Sonari.
The last day of the camp was a fancy dress competition where the kids were judged on appearance, dialogue and presentation.
They were dressed as red chilli, coin, foetus, tarzan, ballon man trees water, clouds and many more.
All of them passed a good message to the audience in their own special way. Mrs Saheli Bagchi, teacher of Sacred Heart Convent School was the judge.
