Bokaro Steel Plant observed the 74th Republic Day of India amidst patriotic fervour. During this occasion Director-in-charge of BSL Amarendu Prakash, Executive Director (Works) BK Tiwari, ED (Finance and Accounts) S. Rangani, ED (MM , P&A) Amitabh Srivastava , ED(Mines) J Das Gupta, ED(Projects) CR Mohapatra, DIG (CISF) S Rai, TA Chief BS Popli, Chairperson Mahila Samiti Anita Tiwari, GMs including other senior officers of the plant, Birhor children studying under Jyoti Yojana, various dignitaries and residents of the city were present in large numbers. DIC Prakash unfurled the national flag at the stadium and inspected the parade and took the salute. During this, Deputy Inspector General (CISF) S Rai was also present with him. Notably CISF and BSL security department personnel, CISF fire service contingent and NCC cadets were included in the parade.
In his address, DIC Amarendu Prakash wished everyone a happy Republic Day and gave the message of building a better and brighter future through collective efforts. During the Republic Day celebrations, DIC Prakash gave citations to 61 personnel of Security Department of CISF, BSL for their excellent service and Director Incharge trophy for Best Shift Incharge to 20 personnel of BSL, Ambedkar Award to 7 personnel and Implementor and Suggester Award to 36 personnel. The children of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, GGPS Sector-6 and Chas mesmerized everyone by presenting an attractive cultural programme. A tableau by BSL Security Engineering Department and an attractive presentation of drill and dog show by CISF jawans were presented at the ceremony.
It is noteworthy that Renovated OPD Complex and Pharmacy Queue Management System were inaugurated at BGH by DIC Prakash on this occasion. Also on the occasion of Republic Day, Mahila Samiti President Anita Tiwari hoisted the national flag in the Swavalamban campus and also distributed fruits among the patients in BGH. Other members of the committee were also present on the occasion.
