Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Monday appealed to youths, who have deviated from the mainstream society to surrender or face the music. “If you want to change the system it cannot be done by force. If you challenge democracy and want to change the system at gunpoint, the Government will hunt you down,” said the CM in Dumka.
The statement came after a day when one SSB jawan was killed during encounter with Maoists in Dumka. Das said that extremism is taking its last breath in the State. “Better policing and administration’s efforts have broken the backbone of naxalism in the State. After 2014 there is a marked decrease in the naxal related incidents. Due to development Reshrar in Lohardaga,, Sarju in Latehar and Gudri in Chibasa have undergone a sea change. Development is the key to all problems,” he said.
The CM further said that the Government has been working in all areas to make people happy and affluent. Very soon all the people of Jharkhand will get electricity 24x7 alongwith basic amenities, he said adding that several schemes to uplift people of the State were running successfully in Jharkhand. He said that no one will snatch the land of tribals in the State at any cost.
Das further said that the people of Dumka have proved in this election that they do not want politics of lies and vicious propaganda, rather they chose politics of development. The CM, while talking to media persons in Dumka on Monday said that all eyes were on Dumka seat this election just like Amethi, but the matured voters of Dumka have given a message of development to the people of State.
On being asked about 2019 Assembly Elections, the CM said that BJP and its workers do not get excited with triumph. “We do not have to take rest. Our aim is to serve mother India. In 2019 Assembly elections also the people of Jharkahnd will form a strong and stable government and we will get full majority,” he added.
The CM said that in Assembly elections too people will give two third majority to the BJP Government as the workers of the party have been relentlessly working for over one year for both Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in State.
Das said on the occasion that opportunistic politics never yields success. The JMM is going to be ruined just like the Congress that is witnessing its fall. People have now recognised those doing politics of individualism, family and dynasty, he said.
