An employment assistant, known as a Rojgar Sevak, has been arrested by the Palamu Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team for allegedly accepting a bribe. The individual apprehended was based at the Korwadih Panchayat in the Garhwa block. Following the arrest, the ACB team has placed the Rojgar Sevak, identified as Gulzar Ansari, in judicial custody.

The arrest was prompted by a complaint submitted to the ACB by Akhilesh Choudhary, a resident of Korwadih in Ranka, Garhwa. Choudhary claimed that a 'dobha' (water harvesting structure) scheme, operating under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), had been approved in his name.

Choudhary stated that the Rojgar Sevak was demanding a bribe in return for signing the master roll to facilitate payment for the 'dobha' construction. Upon receiving the complaint, the ACB verified the allegations. Subsequently, on Wednesday, the ACB set a trap and arrested Rojgar Sevak Gulzar Ansari. Ansari is accused of accepting a bribe of ₹5,000 from Akhilesh Choudhary. The arrested Rojgar Sevak resides in Kanchanpur in Ranka, Garhwa.

After the arrest, the ACB team interrogated Rojgar Sevak. Following the interrogation, Gulzar Ansari underwent a medical examination and was then remanded to judicial custody. ACB sources confirmed the action, stating that the Rojgar Sevak was arrested on suspicion of accepting a bribe. The Palamu Divisional ACB team is reportedly carrying out ongoing operations to combat corruption involving public officials.
