With the seizure of 1,800 liters elicit diesel in a raid conducted on Saturday afternoon in Kathara in Bokaro, the Bokaro Thermal Police claims to have busted a gang involved in the act. The ‘diesel’ is worth about Rs4 lakh were also recovered by the police near Anjali hotel in Kathara area. While chemical, kerosene oil, and other materials were seized from the place.
However, main suspect of the gang escaped from the police dragnet. The officer-in change, laxami Kant, stated that the gang had been involved in adulterating and manufacturing diesel with kerosene for a year. The raid was conducted by the Bokaro Thermal Police after information from sources near Anjali hotel on Saturday afternoon and seized the product and other equipments from the spot. laxami Kant said the gang was active in the area from quite some time and had been targeting CCl vehicles and others machines run on diesel.
