An inquiry team has found large scale misappropriation of funds in purchase of lED bulbs, drums and various work done in Garhwa Nagar Panchayat (NP). Entire NP officers and staff including NP Chairperson Pinky Keshari, her husband Santosh Keshari, Excutive Officer Anjana Das, Executive Engineer Chhathu Tigga, Junior Engineer Ram Prasad Chadudhry, accounts clerk, clerk and assistant are said to be involved in the bungling.
According to Youth Congress president Prabhat Ranjan Dubey, he had raised the issue before the DC Garhwa. DC has constituted a probe team under DDC. Two other members are Probationer IAS and Executive Engineer of Building Construction Department. After the inquiry, the probe team has submitted report to DC.
Probe team has found out that there already have been many complaints against the chairperson and claims that most of the decisions were not taken by her but by her husband.
Probe team also found that Santosh Keshari tried to mislead the inquiry committee by fabricating false information.
Santosh Keshari has violated the dignity of constitutional post of by taken most of the decisions on behalf of the chair. Both the Executive Officer and Executive Engineer has put blind eye to all that has happened to the tender being awarded and cancelled.
The inquiry committee finds the acts of Junior Engineer of NP as unbecoming of Government servant. In the whole process of tendering and bill preparing involvement of head clerk, assistant clerk and account clerk had been prominent.
Dubey said that the probe team recommended take action against above name NP persons sections of IPC.
