Six live bombs recovered from crop field
Four boys got injured in a bomb blast which took place in a crops field in laskari village of Barhi block. After the blast Barhi police team recovered six live bombs from the field. The bombs were country made and were hidden in the wheat crop in the field of Suresh Ram.
The owner of the crops field Suresh Ram said that in the morning his wife was cutting the crop in the field, she saw a bag there and informed me. I reached there and found that some round objects are in the bag. I removed the bag from the field and put it near the river. After coming back to the village informed about it to the villagers.
In the mean time four boys who were playing nearby saw the bag and reached at the spot. A boy said that we started to check the bag and in the process saw fume coming out from the bag. We tried to escape but it exploded and we all got injured.
The injured boys are Pintu Kumar, Preetam Kumar, Deepak Kumar and Basant Kumar. Villagers immediately rushed to Barhi hospital and admitted them there where treatment is going on. As per doctors all four are out of danger now.
later the Mukhiya of the village Rashida Khatoon informed Barhi police. DSP Avinash kumar along with OIC Barhi Akil Ahmad reached at the spot. The police team found six unexploded bombs from the field.
They informed the bomb disposal squad. Keeping in view the increasing temperature the team members finally decided to put the bombs in river water. Their tactics worked and the bombs became inactive.
DSP Kumar said that we are investigating the matter that how the bomb reached in the crops field. He said that it seems that it is an act of anti social elements. When asked about probability of its use in forth coming election, he said that it may be so and after thorough investigation we can say anything more.
