Any decision on Intezaar Ali, arrested from Hatia-bound Burdman-Hatia passenger train on August 20, is likely to be taken on the reports given by Forensic Science laboratory (FSl). Despite an uproar over the arrest of Ali demanding his release after no substantial evidence were found against him, GRP officials are yet to come out strongly on the issue, saying that anything could be said in the case
only after looking into the FSl reports.
Ali, along with a huge cache of explosives, was nabbed by the GRP with the help of inputs provided by the Army Intelligence on board Hatia-Burdwan passenger train when it reached Kita station, 46km from the capital.
“It will be too early to comment on the matter as the investigations are still on…. We are waiting for the reports of FSl…… Anything could be said only after it reaches to us,” said SRP Jamshedpur MK Mitu. Meanwhile, he said, that the investigations are still being conducted in a free and fair way.
