Under the auspices of Ravidas Vikas Manch, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated at Gangupara Nigni in lohardaga. It was presided over by president Chunni Ram. The chief guests of the occasion were MlA Kamal Kishor Bhagat, DC Manjunath Bhajantri, whereas, the special guests were SDO Saurabh Kumar Sinha, district council member Kalawati Devi and Baleshwar Harijan. MlA KK Bhagat announced to provide one lakh Rs for Ravidas Bhawan.
DC Manjunath Bhajantri said, “Dr Saheb belonged to the down trodden community of the society and from this level he raised to such an extent that he got name and fame all over the world. You have to work like him.”
SP Manoj Ratan Chothe said, “Baba Saheb will be remembered in our country for many epics. He united the backward people of the society and joined them to the main stream.”
Before the commencement of the programme, the chief guests were welcomed by the students of Hendlaso village. A quiz competition was also organised and the students performing well were given prizes.
The programme was directed by Ram Jatan Ram. On the occasion Buddhan Ram, Rajendra Ram, Vipul Ram, Vikas Ram Sudesh Sahu, Santan Sahu and many others were present.
