If trends coming out from counting of over 1,000 votes, by the time this report was being filed, were there to persist till the last vote is counted, Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) was moving towards having a fine blend of experience and energy in its Executive Council for next one year.

As per trends of the 1,000 votes, team full of energetic youth headed by presidential candidate Vinay Kr. Agrawal was leading with 13 members over team the with experienced traders headed by presidential candidate RD Singh with 8 members in a 21 member executive council of FJCCI. The final results of all 21 winners were expected to come by around midnight of Monday-Tuesday or thereafter.

The counting of votes started around 10 AM on Monday at Chamber Bhawan as  most of the candidates reached the venue much earlier. As ballets started appearing at the screens, candidates started making fresh equations with their leaders.

However, both the team-leaders, Vinay Agrawal and RD Singh expressed their surprise over the way voters chose their favourite candidates, after the ballots started appearing unfolded for counting over four big screens.

The screens were flashing every ballet and ticks marks put in front of their favourite candidates, which clearly reflected that voters had apparently rejected the idea of groupism, and voted only for their favourite candidates in both the teams.

“Though it’s not totally unexpected, I am surprised the way voters have exercised their right of franchise. They am not disappointed, literally, anyone. After trends coming out from first 600 counted votes, I can say two things. First, the final result may appear as a neck-and-neck contest. Second, we are going to have a good mix of energy and experience in next Executive Council,” said Vinay Agrawal.

RD Singh, at the same time, said during the counting that he was very much optimistic with the voting patterns, and expected a clear majority over team Vinay. “To smile with, the team of 21 members has already been elected during voting itself and now we are in the process of only finding who has lost. On serious note, I can only say that I am seeing the pattern closely the way the trader fraternity has voted. This reflects where they want this Chamber to move towards. I firmly believe final results will be in our favour,” claimed RD Singh.

At the same time, both the team leaders and members were agreed to the fact that the Chamber needed to have its voice heard at right platforms and whenever required.
