Hazaribagh district administration has lodged a first information report in Daru police station of the district against the Mukhiya of Medkhuri Khurd panchayat. This FIR has been lodged by block officials as per the direction of DC Hazaribagh who had formed a three member enquiry committee to probe the allegations against the mukhiya Shushila Devi.
Some villagers and village local body members of Medkhuri Khurd panchayat of Daru block had made a written complaint in the Deputy Commissioner’s office some months ago that the mukhiya is spending the money provided by district administration to the panchayat. They had complained that the amount was spent by the mukhiya without taking care of the rules and regulations.
After getting this complaint DC Ravishankar Shukla has formed a three member committee to enquire the matter. Three member committee finally submitted its report in which it found the mukhiya guilty and the complaints correct. The enquiry committee found that mukhiya Shushila Devi has not followed the norms for the purchase of water tanker and solar lights. She neither floated any tender nor invited any quotation and without consulting the other members purchased the items on very high rate from open market.
After getting this report DC Ravishankar Shukla ordered the block officials to lodge FIR against the mukhiya Shushila Devi which was implemented by the block officials. On the other hand mukhiya Shushila Devi and his supporters said that it is a conspiracy against the elected representative of the people in which some members of the panchayat and staffs of block are associated.
