District Agriculture Officer has registered FIR against Krishna Beej Bhandar and Mehta Seed Bhandar, Khraundhi for selling fake fertilizers.
On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Garhwa Their licenses have also been suspended with immediate effect.
According to a press release, on the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner, the fertilizer-seed shops situated at Khraundhi block headquarter were inspected. Due to the irregularities found in the chain of inspection, registering an FIR on Krishna Beej Bhandar and Mehta Beej Bhandar of Kharoundhi block. Their licenses have also been suspended with immediate effect.
In the light of the public complaint, Deputy Commissioner constituted a two members team headed by BDO while another member is thana in charge. During the inspection of the warehouse by the team of officials, the warehouse found various irregularities found in the business . Team sealed both the shops' warehouses.
About 2000 bags of DAP fertilizer were found in Krishna Beej Bhandar's godown as well as new empty bags of DAP Paras about 1000 bags were also found.
An explanation was also sought from the proprietor of both shops.
The District Agriculture Officer registered an FIR against both the proprietor Surendra Kumar Mehta and Krishna Prasad and their seed and fertilizer licenses have been suspended.
