PNS

The state education department is going to conduct audit of government schools assessing the fund received by respective schools and the expenditures.

The education department is going to carry out the process from November first week.

Jharkhand Education Project Council project director Shailesh Kumar Chaurasiya said, "Audit of funds is done at three levels. First at State level, second at district level and third at school level. At school level audit is carried out of fund received by school from department to actual expenditure."

The audit will be done of financial year 2019-20. Every school has to give details about the last financial year expenses. The expenses include expenditure on permanent and contractual teachers on their salary head.

The schools will also have to give report about the funds spent on repairs and renovations of the school buildings.

The audit will start from first week of November.

The audit was to start at the beginning of 2020-21 financial year but it was delayed due to corona pandemic.

Schools will get a performa in which respective schools have to submit details about funds received and its expenses. The schools will also have to submit expenses receipt.

The audit will be done block wise.

Last year too such audit was carried out where large scale anomalies at school audit in Latehar and Pakur district was detected.
