Badkagaon MlA Nirmala Devi, who has been absconding after the firing incident at the NTPC Mining site since October 1, was finally arrested from a residential colony here on Tuesday. Police arrested the MlA around 6:30 pm and took her to Chief Judicial Magistrate from where she will be sent to judicial custody. A violent mob had attacked police and district administration officials near the NTPC mining site on October 1 and had freed Nirmala Devi when the police team was taking her to police station after detaining her. Devi was protesting with locals against the land acquisition in Hazaribagh.
