As per the timetable pre-determined by the Election Commission of India, the final publication of the voter list under Jharkhand state is being done tomorrow, Monday, 22 January. Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar said that tomorrow, Monday 22nd January, the voter list is being published in all the polling centers of the state. The said voter list is also to be published in important offices of the state related to elections.
He has appealed to the voters of the state to check their names in the voter list and if there is any discrepancy for any reason, they should immediately inform their BLO or their respective election registration office. If they wish, they can also inform about this on the voter helpline center 1950 of the state. He said that while every effort has been made to make the voter list completely error free and inclusive, the possibility of any human error or typing mistake cannot be completely ruled out. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the election offices as well as the common voters to check their names in the voter list. Ravi Kumar has congratulated all those young voters whose names have been registered in the voter list for the first time. He has also appealed to all these young voters that they will not only cast their vote in the upcoming general elections of the world's largest democracy but will also inspire others to do so.
Voters can post their name on social media after seeing their name in the newly published voter list. The Chief Electoral Officer said that the purpose of the said social media campaign is to motivate the youth and all the voters present on social media to check their names in the voter list.
