Cricket fans across the State and outside are poised to see Team India clinching the 5 match One Day International series with Australia in the third ODI scheduled to be played between the two countries at Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s hometown here on Friday. The match is crucial with India taking a 2-0 lead over the Aussies in recent encounters in the series.
The squads of both the sides today sweat it out on the greens of Jharkhand State Cricket Association International Sports Complex. The match has posed a ‘do or die’ situation for the Australian side, while for India it will be a test of nerves to continue its winning streak.
“Our hero (Mahendra Singh Dhoni) is yet to fire his salvo here at his home turf. We expect him to go all guns blazing tomorrow. Also, because the match could possibly be his last international match at his home ground, he has to do what he is best at – the great finisher,” said Shanshank Atyayan an avid cricket lover.
“I am expecting that India wins the match to clinch the series with a ton from the great finisher and our local boy. The chances of winning the match are high because out of four ODIs played on this turf India have won two good matches,” said Rachit, a JVM Shyamali student.
Meanwhile, Ranchi Police have made elaborate security arrangements for the match. Deputy Commissioner and Senior SP have deputed magistrates, police officers and policemen have been deputed for maintaining law and order in order to successfully hold the match.
All the senior officers and police officers have been instructed to inform the officers, police officers and policemen, deputed in their jurisdiction, to properly understand the duty and duties of the workplace, by explaining them well in relation to their responsibilities.

Strict security arrangements have been made on the way from where the players are staying at the stadium and stadium to match. Route chart has been issued to go to the stadium. The VVIP route has been barricaded from place to place.
