MoS Railways Manoj Sinha inaugurated the extended rail line from Nawadih to Kowar on Koderma Giridih rail line on Saturday at Koderma Station. He also flagged off a DMU passenger train. Two pairs of the train was made available for Koderma to Kowar.
“The rest part of the koderma-Giridih rail project will be finalized soon. Train services would play a significant role for the development of the region,” the Minister said.
With the flagging off, Koderma Station also received the status of a junction on the Grand Cord section of the East Central Railway under the Dhanbad Division.
Ravindra Rai MP Koderma, Ravindra Pandey, MP Giridih, Janki Yadav MlA Brkattha, Rajkumar Yadav MlA Rajdhanwar, Nirbhay Kumar Shahbadi MlA Giridih, Kedar Hazara MlA Jamua and other public representatives were present at the moment.
