JVM Supremo and former CM and Babulal Marandi today inaugurated the ‘Expo Utsav 2017’ at Morabadi Maidan here and said that such events portray the image of a prospering Jharkhand. He, on the occasion, praised the efforts of the Junior chamber International (JCI), Ranchi for successfully organizing the mega event in the state for last 22 years.
“I feel we are developing and prospering because these type of mega events were previously not accessible to people in Ranchi, but with your (JCI) endeavour you have succeeded in introducing products from pen to car under one roof,” said Marandi, who was Chief Guest at the event.
Morabadi Maidan has over the years attained an identity of being a venue for these type of events said Marandi remembering Udyog Mela of year 2002, which was the first major event organized after the formation of Jharkhand State. He later concluded hoping for bigger and innovative events in years to come.
Taking a step forward towards pulling a larger chunk of people, Expo Utsav is ready for a boom with never before magnitude this year. Talking about the same, Prateek jain, spokesperson of JCI Ranchi revealed unique feature of Expo 2017 which is a large 32,800 ft. AC German Hanger which will contain more than 154 stalls having all sort of products at a reasonable price under a roof including electronic, furniture, furnishings, food items, books, sanitary, kitchen utilities, real estate etc.
Auto- zones, furniture-zones, children’s amusement park and food court are also attractive features of Expo 2017. Apart from this, a separate Pink Hanger is made for the female entrepreneurs with a total of 40 stalls. The five day extravaganza will also feature programmes like Voice of Expo, Dog Show, Cultural Events, Mister and Miss Expo, Dance and Painting Competition, Fashion Show and Midnight Bazaar.
